Traineeship Mendix Developer (32-40 hrs/w)
What are you going to do?
As a Mendix trainee, you will be part of our Low-code team that digitises and automates business processes. We build innovative web and mobile applications with a strong focus on data and AI.
You will follow an extensive training programme to become an expert in Mendix and develop into a technical person in charge. You will help set technical strategies and guidelines, and improve the TRIMM-standard for Mendix, both internally and for our customers.
You work on customer projects and contribute to high-quality solutions. Our customers include Grolsch, KLM and SPIE.
What is Mendix?
Mendix is the Low-code platform that allows us to respond quickly and flexibly to our customers' changing needs. By spending less time coding, we can fully focus on designing smart, user-friendly solutions that allow us to support our customers efficiently and optimally.
What we expect from you?
- You have an educational background in Business Information Technology, Technical Business Administration or HBO-ICT in the direction of Business & IT or otherwise generalised;
- Experience with Mendix is a plus, but not a must. You will be fully trained in this;
- You have a proactive attitude;
- You think along about opportunities;
- You have the drive to keep learning and developing yourself!
What does the traineeship look like?
The total duration of the traineeship will be eight months. In the first two months, the focus is on learning Mendix. You will attend a training course and thus be prepared and certified as a Mendix Medior. After this training period, you will apply what you have learned in practice. You will also receive intensive personal coaching. You will be linked to an expert who periodically consults and discusses with you to guide you further. You will be part of a close-knit team that supports and guides you on a daily basis and you will also have a one-to-one meeting with your team lead every two weeks to discuss and support your progress and growth path towards becoming a professional.
A traineeship at TRIMM means you will be included in the PiT (Professional in Training) talent programme. In this, we offer optimal guidance and you will participate in weekly intervision. This is a confidential group of about six participants (students and young professionals) where everything can and may be discussed. Every week, you meet for an hour. You help each other with new insights on, among other things, motivation, giving feedback and structured work. And topics such as personal leadership, reflecting on your professional actions, customer communication, etc. are covered. Intervision is seen by many PiTérs as a huge asset in their development into skilled professionals.
Lots of room for co-decision and career development
With the expertise you build up, you have a lot of influence in taking decisions on architecture, procedures and work processes around our Mendix development. At TRIMM, we have no pronounced hierarchy. You get a lot of freedom to innovate and learning, allowing you to develop technically and personally. Your development as a professional is of course accompanied by a development in terms of employment conditions.
What do we have to offer you?
- A 32- to 40-hour employment contract for eight months. And the intention to continue working together after these eight months!
- You will be jointly responsible for award-winning projects for international clients;
- We have good primary and secondary terms of employment;
- A lot of attention for substantive professional growth and personal development;
- A young and friendly team with driven people;
- You will have your own comfortable workplace in our open and modern building in Enschede.
This is what we are looking for!
- Experience in developing web applications and native mobile applications in Mendix is a advantage;
- Knowledge of Java and front-end development is nice but not a must;
- Great sense of responsibility and a high degree of independence;
- You are eager to learn and up to date with the latest technologies, with a passion for the Internet;
- Good verbal and written communication skills in Dutch and English;
- Analytical skills: you can identify problems and find solutions for them. You can analyse information critically, approach it from different perspectives and use logical reasoning.
